First Day Homecare: A Private Nursing Service That Cares From Day One

Get Started!

First Day Homecare is a unique private nursing service that was founded in 2020 in Flint, Michigan, by a group of medical professionals who recognized that when families are caring for medically fragile loved ones, they shouldn't have to do it alone. We understand that these vulnerable individuals require comprehensive care that can often extend beyond the home. Our highly qualified nursing staff are carefully selected to provide that care.

As a First Day Homecare private duty nursing business owner, you’ll be proud to be making an impact on your community, giving needed aid to health-compromised children and adults, providing attractive staffing positions for medical professionals, and building a better future for yourself.

    Why First Day Homecare Exists

All too often, when medically fragile children and adults are discharged from the hospital, parents and other family members are left to take care of them alone. Unfortunately, nurses are often not treated with the respect they deserve, nor are they paid what they are worth. At First Day Homecare, we offer a solution to both of these problems.

We fill in the gaps in the current homecare service model with a business that is strategically designed for those who wish to make an impact in others’ lives while creating a future for themselves via franchise ownership.

When you join us at First Day Homecare, you’ll empower families with medically fragile members by assigning them the best nursing staff to attend to their needs.

A Private Nursing Service That’s Second to None

You won’t find a hourly nursing service that matches ours in quality, compassion, or expertise. Here’s why:

    • Purpose-driven: Our founders, franchisees, and staff members are all committed to achieving the benefits that private duty nursing services can make for individuals, families, and a community as a whole.
    • A commitment to quality: We are dedicated to providing the highest standards of care, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare in Private Duty Nursing services. We lead with evidence-based practices and procedures for consistent, reliable, effective care.
    • People over profits: Ours is very much a personal service built on a professional business model. That’s why our core values include transparency, collaboration, and over-communication.
    • Outstanding business acumen – We provide an excellent franchise model equipped with effective, streamlined operations to support both the First Day Homecare staff and their patients.

A Technological Solution that Leaves Competitors Behind

All our nurses and franchise owners utilize the AlayaCare app. This makes your job easier so you can concentrate on growing your franchise. It also makes your nurses’ lives easier so they can focus on taking care of their patients. Here’s how:

    • User friendly: AlayaCare houses all of your patient records, employee files, scheduling, payroll, and billing, all within one easy-to-use platform. There’s no need for bulky files and folders.
    • Shareability: The whole caregiving team has access to all the most up-to-date medical records for each patient, making coordination of care from staff member to staff member a breeze.
    • Superior security: All information is encrypted and confidential and maintained in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
    • Data reporting: AlayaCare’s administrative dashboard and data reporting remove stress from day-to-day administration, helping you stay focused on the key performance and financial metrics that are most important to you.

How Much Does a First Day Homecare Franchise Cost?

The estimated initial investment to begin your private duty nursing business ranges from $109,050 - $200,200 per location. This includes a $70,000 initial franchise fee for a single-unit agreement.

    • First Day Homecare charges a 5% royalty rate on gross billed revenues. This royalty fee enables us to provide training, a continuous support system, and ongoing development and upgrades of our programs and systems.
    • We charge 1% for brand marketing to make sure your franchise reaches where it needs to be.
    • There is an additional $300 monthly technology fee in place that helps support the AlayaCare system, and many other software systems that are available to our franchises such as the Learning Management System (LMS), claims clearinghouse for billing purposes, and our integrated Intranet portal that houses all of our brand resources and marketing materials.
